* "journalists are drawn to reporting bad news because sudden disaster is more compelling than slow improvements" (stafford, future.com). The American medias promote violence better than other country. It is people's daily dose of caffeine, reminder of how the society will forever be bad so the "winners" stay prosperous.
The Fear of Transit: racially driven
"Asian being attacked on NYC subway" CNBC

Personal encounter: on the night of may, 11th of 2021, I was harassed by two African Americans on the train from Providence to NY Moynihan Train Hall. "go back China, you pest". I was mocked publicly but I held my composure because of what others have told me: "not worth arguing with people who barely knew and cared about you. Their lives are a mess and needed more help than you." It was a moment of realization that public spaces aren't as welcoming and safe as I thought would be.
"Asian American being attacked on NYC subway", "Asian nail salon shooting", "Subway assault on Asian Lady".. It is too frequent and close to home. It feels as if I was going to be in the same situation at some point of my life; and only time, prevents or slows down the progression of tragedy. I wouldn't dare to take the New York subway at night. A gamble of the living that I refuse to take. It is a gamble that never I seem to win; 50 50 land on head, but it's always tail..
"small" but "big"
The entrance of a train: the fear of being stuck between the closing doors of a train is too strong.

The fear of accidentally touching someone's hand on a pole in the train to spark an argument that leads into a fight

The fear of losing open seats when my legs refuse to move as it has given up a while ago.
